The only easy day was yesterday

Hello and welcome back to Tobias Talks

This week zero exercise has happened, I joined a gym local to me and after 2 weeks they have closed for refurbishment, I can go to an alternative gym but this is much further away.

The plan is to get back into the Old Factory gym regularly, the sporadic once a week isn't having any effect, apart from making me ravenously hungry the next day.

The plan is to return to the only thing that has ever worked for me, eating like a dog. Now this doesn't mean that I will be eating pigs hearts and sheep anus but instead means I will be eating the same thing day in, day out. I will be aiming for at least 180g of protein a day and this will likely involve eating 4 chicken breasts a day, 2 at lunch, 2 at dinner, with plenty of low cal hot sauce, something like Franks Red Hot sauce. Insanely tasty and super low calorie! As you can tell by the tone of this blog, there is still some more planning to do. In essence it will be a 300-500 calorie breakfast, either porridge with whey powder or eggs and turkey bacon. a 500 calorie lunch and dinner, which would be two chicken breasts and a microwaveable veg bag. This should provide plenty of protein whilst minimising excess carbs. To make up any extra calories I need I'll either make a protein shake, eat some fruit or eat some cheese, depending on which macros I'm aiming to hit.

Gym wise, I'm back to 5 days a week after work. Bro Split:

  • Monday - Legs
  • Tuesday - Chest
  • Wednesday - Back
  • Thursday - Shoulders
  • Friday - Arms

Every day I will do at least 20 mins of cross trainer (the elliptical in colony speak) before lifting weights.

This has worked really well for me in the past, it's cold and miserable and I would be doing little else, so now is the perfect time to get my head down and get as fit as I can before I ruin it in summer with real ale and smoked meats.

I hope you can join me on this journey! lets go!
