Weight loss and me

Hello and welcome to Tobias Talks.

This week has been a repeat of every other, good mid-week then a drop of discipline over the weekend.

I have gained a pound this week. Not the goal at all. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to read this every week. As I continue to repeat the same mistakes. Week in, week out.

This weekend I have birthday plans for my partner. I will be busy almost every day. I will be eating out at a restaurant on Friday night, so I will find the menu and choose what I am having in advance and then track the days calories well in advance.

On Saturday I'm just the taxi driver so will be dropping her off and picking her up later so will be free for most of the day, the plan is to go out, either fishing or going for a walk. Just something outdoors and not sedentary.

Sunday is a day at my partners family home and this normally involves some sort of british buffet spread, something like scotch eggs, sausage rolls, crisps and maybe some nuggets or pizza. Not at all healthy. I will instead, eat a healthy and filling breakfast and then pack a healthy lunch for myself and eat only that. Then I will have a final meal when I get home, whatever time that will be.

I need to stick to the above plans, it is the only solution to breaking this cycle of midweek weight loss and then weekend weight gain. I need to get healthier and fitter. Being this overweight is going to start causing issues soon. I am not 20 anymore and I've taken an unhealthy lifestyle as far as it will go. Now is the time to grow up and get my life in order.

Hopefully the above steps will be enough to get me through the weekend, if I can get through 3 or 4 weekends being healthy I am confident the habit will form, so that's my short term goal, but really, I will end with a profound quote "I didn't lose 100 lbs, I lost 1lb a hundred times." Then that is the goal, to lose one pound, then the next, then the next.

Thanks for reading.
